Research Analyst

Job Title: Research Analyst

Location: Remote (US)

Reports to: Public Records Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Job Summary:

Our Research Analyst is responsible for obtaining public record information through various sources and entering that information into our system.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Searching established state and county court websites for specific public information based on the system requirements to include jurisdictional, client and company guidelines.

  • Adhering to the timeline of completing oldest to newest unless instructed otherwise by management.

  • Understanding court dockets and transferring accurate information into the system.

  • Contact court clerks to determine if a public record exists on a given subject, obtaining or verifying case information or identifiers.

  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.

  • Complete all assigned training by the due date.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address any cross-functional issues.

  • Any additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of court systems and language used.

  • Knowledge of criminal and civil records.

  • Knowledge of computers, email, and the internet.

  • Strong attention to detail with communication, problem solving, organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.

  • 1-2 years in data processing and criminal research.

  • High School diploma or GED required.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the background screening sector.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in court research.

  • Associate’s degree in criminal justice.
